Our Story

Our first venture in Sandbach was created in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. Serving artisan coffee, homemade traybakes and pastries from ‘The Van’ in Sandbach Park. We quickly established a reputation for great tasting coffee, sweet treats and friendly —occasionally cheeky— banter. Customers still comment on how we helped through the stress of the pandemic.

By Spring 2021 people wanted to go back indoors and we were able to acquire a tea-room overlooking The Commons which was subsequently turned into ‘The House.’ With this move, we were then able to offer an expanded food and drinks menu including paninis, toasties, sandwiches and salads. The House quickly established itself as Sandbach's premier artisan coffee shop.

Fast forward to late 2025, and we seized the opportunity to acquire one of Sandbach's favourite venues, racing to get it ready for a Christmas 2025 launch as ‘The Town House.’ The success of our wine tasting at The House convinced us Sandbach was ready for a dedicated wine bar & bistro. We set out to discover a distinctive range of wines, bringing bottles to Sandbach that you won't find anywhere else locally. Alongside this we sourced our wine-vending machine that would enable us to introduce new wines, explore new parts of the wine world, and give customers to try something 'different'.

By Spring 2026 we were ready to launch our food offer including delicious brunches during the day, and bar snacks from mid-afternoon to closing.

Now, as spring turns to summer, are you ready to create 'drink envy' for passers-by from our terrace? The Terrace at The Town House was recently refurbished with new furniture installed, and is now the place to be seen in Sandbach on a sunny day.
